Take a look at the stats behind Elanga's goal against Man Utd
Forest winger netted winner on Tuesday night
Elanga clocked 85 metres in nine seconds
Anthony Elanga’s sensational strike against Manchester United at The City Ground secured a 1-0 win for the Reds against the Red Devils.
With just five minutes on the clock, Nuno Espírito Santo’s side cleared a corner from the away side giving Elanga the chance to run at the United defence.
The Forest winger carried the ball into the opposition penalty area before finishing low, left-footed into the bottom right corner of the net.

But there was so much more to Elanga’s stunning strike than just giving the Reds a crucial lead against Man Utd.
The Sweden international covered an incredible 85 metres in just nine seconds, carrying the ball the entire way, taking eight touches of the ball and holding off challenges from the visitors’ defenders.

To put that into context, the world record for running 100 metre sprint, famously set by Usain Bolt in 2009 sits at 9.58 seconds.
Taking into account Elanga was carrying a football too, it’s fair to say the Forest winger hit top speed in NG2.
Elanga’s fifth goal of the campaign came from his only effort in the match, meaning the 22-year-old ended the match with a 100% record for shooting and scoring.
