Brighton return to league action this evening as they face off against Aston Villa. The Seagulls are five unbeaten in the league since they lost 7-0 to Nottingham Forest at the start of February. Despite this, they go into this game on the back of another defeat to Forest, this time in the FA Cup quarter-finals on penalties. Here is the Brighton predicted lineup as they take on Unai Emery’s Villa side at the Amex.
Brighton Predicted Lineup vs Aston Villa for Premier League Clash
How Brighton Have Lined Up Recently
Prior to the previous match, Fabian Hurzeler has struggled with a long list of injuries. Bart Verbruggen has solidified his place as the number-one goalkeeper. With defensive injuries, Jack Hinshelwood slotted in at right back, with Jan Paul van Hecke, Adam Webster and Pervis Estupinan making up the back four. Lewis Dunk recently made his return, with the captain replacing Webster after the defender picked up an injury.

Carlos Baleba has caught the eye of many this season, and has become an important part of this Brighton unit, with Yasin Ayari being picked by Hurzeler to partner the Cameroon international in the middle of the park.
Karou Mitoma and Yankuba Minteh give a threat of pace and directness down each wing, with Georginio Rutter having slotted in behind striker Danny Welbeck, who has benched star Brazilian Joao Pedro in recent weeks.
Brighton Recent Form and Tactics
It was a frustrating watch for any Brighton fan last Saturday, with Forest able to deal with their offence with ease. They restricted the Sussex club to only 13 shots in 120 minutes, with Brighton only able to challenge Matz Sels twice in the forest net.

However, Hinshelwood and Gomez were the players to miss the penalties in the shootout, which prevented them from making any further ground in the FA Cup. The manager has stuck by his tactical setup through these ups and downs, using a 4-2-3-1 base.
Brighton Injuries and Absentees to Consider
Rutter and Webster could miss the rest of the season. Both players were taken off injured at the weekend. They join a long list of injured players, with Ferdi Kadioglu, Igor Julio, James Milner, Jason Steele, Tariq Lamptey, Solly March, Matt O’Riley and Mats Weifer all not in contention to play against Villa.
