Real Madrid star Aurélien Tchouaméni secured for himself an altogether special piece of club history in the club’s latest outing.
Real, of course, were back in action on Tuesday night.
Turning attentions back towards matters in the Copa del Rey, Los Blancos welcomed Real Sociedad to Spain’s capital, with a place in the tournament’s finale on the line.
And, when all was said and done in a pulsating affair, march on to the Copa showpiece is precisely what Carlo Ancelotti’s troops managed.
This came by way of a 4-4 draw on the night, guiding Real Madrid through courtesy of a 5-4 aggregate triumph.
Amongst the goals on the evening, as alluded to above, was Aurélien Tchouaméni, who nodded home a crucial equaliser late in the 90.
And, importance when it comes to the eventual result aside, Tchouaméni’s finish also proved an altogether significant one when it comes to the history books.
As revealed by statistician Mister Chip, the France international’s goal against Sociedad was the 10,000th in Real Madrid’s storied history as a club:
