Robert Kraft became the owner of the New England Patriots in 1994, purchasing the team for $172 million. During his tenure, the franchise had plenty of success, winning six Super Bowls and ten AFC Championships.
While Kraft will turn 84 years old in June, he has no plans to step down. Speaking to the media on Tuesday, the Patriots' owner stated:
First of all, I think I'm 35. And you all will laugh when I say it. Look, I was a little kid sitting on one of those benches dreaming about owning this team and bring a winning culture here. I said after my family, this team and this foundation to combat hate and antisemitism - those are my passions. As far as succession, succession is there. I have my eldest son Jonathan has been part of every key decision I've made for the last 30 odd years and is a full partner in everything.

Kraft added that while his son Jonathan stays out of the limelight, there is a plan in place for all of their businesses. He noted that they will see what happens over the next two or three years.
While New England has been the most successful franchise in the league during Kraft's tenure as owner, they have not reached the postseason since 2021. The Patriots hired Mike Vrabel as head coach and spent plenty of money this offseason as they look to work their way back into contention.
