Jarrod Bowen is clearly a very big fan of one of his West Ham United teammates who has been heavily tipped to leave the club.
West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen has endured a tough 2024/25 season, but which player at the London Stadium hasn’t?
He has captained the Hammers to a really poor campaign, and he needs to improve his levels, despite the fact that he’s been one of our better players this term.
Jarrod Bowen is slowly growing into his role as West Ham captain, but there’s a lot more he needs to do in my opinion.

I would like to see him get in the referees’ faces more and demand more from his teammates as well.
The current group of players at West Ham is desperately bereft of any real characters. However, we do have one huge leader at the club, and Bowen is obviously a massive fan of him.
Jarrod Bowen raves about West Ham teammate Niclas Fullkrug
Niclas Fullkrug returned to action for the Hammers against Wolves on Tuesday night.
And he put in a top-class performance.
It has been claimed that Niclas Fullkrug is actually desperate to leave West Ham, and is prepared to take a pay-cut in order to facilitate that move.

However, Bowen’s has proven that he would love the German to remain at the club, with his words after the defeat to Wolves, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“Fulle came on and did really well,” he explained. “He would have been disappointed not to start but I think the way he worked showed what this manager requires and I think what we require as a group to push everyone every single day in training.
“It’s massively important having him back.“
Having Fullkrug back is exactly what this team of underperforming players needs right now.
Why Niclas Fullkrug admitted he’s unhappy at West Ham
Described as an ‘incredible’ striker by Goal, Fullkrug has all of the attributes needed to succeed in the Premier League.
However, his debut campaign in England has been an incredibly difficult one for him.
Fullkrug shared how he is ‘extremely dissatisfied’ with the way things have gone at West Ham, when speaking to German reporters last month:
“I’m obviously extremely dissatisfied with my season because I was injured so much. That’s why I basically want to play again.”
Let’s hope that West Ham manage to keep hold of Niclas Fullkrug and that he remains injury-free.
His link-up play with Jarrod Bowen next season could be a thing of beauty.
