Penguin Random House will publish three books by Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen “Steph” Curry, in partnership with Curry and Erick Peyton’s Unanimous Media. One World EVP, publisher, and editor-in-chief Chris Jackson acquired North American rights from Byrd Leavell and Albert Lee at UTA. The first book in the deal, _Shot Ready_—which will include more than 100 photographs—hits shelves on September 9, simultaneously with an audiobook edition from Penguin Random House Audio.
The publisher billed _Shot Ready_ as “a powerful distillation of Curry’s transformative philosophy of success—centered on intentional preparation, constant improvement, creativity, connection, mindfulness, and joy—drawn from the most important and revealing moments of his life’s journey and delivered in his incomparable voice and style.” Jackson, in a statement, called it _“_a book every bit as graceful, innovative, and full of joy as his game.”
A four-time NBA champion, two-time NBA MVP, and Olympic gold medalist, Curry called _Shot Ready_, in a statement, “a personal reflection of my journey, both on and off the court.” He added: “I want to use my story to connect with people of different backgrounds and help them solve the puzzle of their own potential. This book is a celebration of the work that happens in the shadows, the creativity that fuels every move, and the mindfulness that keeps me grounded.”
