Player unlikley to leave Wolves in the summer – Plenty of reasons to stay as April return planned

Sasa Kalajdzic is unlikely to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer as he hopes to repay the club for their faith in him.

That’s according to [the Austrian edition of Kicker](https://www.kicker.at/satter-vertrag-so-viel-verdient-kalajdzic-bei-den-wolves-1102700/artikel), who cover the striker today and what the future may hold as he returns from the third cruciate ligament tear of his career.

They explain that hardly any player has been plagued by injuries like Kalajdzic has in recent years, but that hasn’t got the 27-year-old down. He’s currently returning from his third cruciate ligament tear and should be back in a Wolves shirt this month.

His return is imminent and if everything goes to plan, he will feature for Vitor Pereira’s side this month until the end of the season.

He’s only managed 14 appearances for Wolves to date but believes he still has plenty of time to prove himself at the club.

His current deal runs until 2027 and has an option for a further year. Kicker say he is ‘well paid’ too, earning around £1.82m a year, or £35,000 a week.

That makes it unlikely for him to leave anytime soon, particularly as he wants to give something back to the club after his ‘long period of suffering’. There’s also the fact that he’s made a home for himself in Wolverhampton.

He and his wife started a family just over a year ago with the birth of his son and they also run a restaurant serving Croatan cuisine in the city. His wife, Lorena, invited the whole Wolves team to the restaurant a few weeks ago.

Thus, there are plenty of reasons for Kalajdzic to stay and it seems he intends to do just that, with his eyes firmly on a return this month.
