Ederson is quite a divisive figure at Manchester City.
The Brazil international is arguably the best in the world when it comes to using his feet, impressively providing six assists in his 269 Premier League appearances for Manchester City.
However, Ederson has been criticised at times for his decision making – often racing off his line to cause chaos at the back, as he did during the loss against Real Madrid at the Etihad Stadium in February.

Manchester City are actually looking at Joan Garcia as a replacement for the South American.
In the meantime, Ederson has been speaking to Shay Given during an interview for BBC Sport – where he left the Irishman stunned with one revelation.
Shay Given shocked by Ederson’s one superstition
Amazingly, the Brazilian revealed that he has been wearing the same pair of boxers on the pitch for Manchester City throughout his entire time at the Etihad Stadium.

Ederson said: “I have only one superstition. I play every game in the same boxers.”
In response, Given – who made 69 appearances for Manchester City – asked: “What? The same for the whole season?.”
The man born in Lifford was then stunned to hear Ederson reply “no, eight years, the same” – exclaiming “no way” after hearing the bizarre revelation.

We just hope the Manchester City No.31 washes his lucky pair of boxers!
It may be a strange superstition from Ederson, but with six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups, three FA Community Shields and one each of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup, you can understand why he has stuck to the superstition.
Hugo Viana has a decision to make with Ederson at Manchester City
As aforesaid, Manchester City are looking at Espanyol No.1 Garcia to replace Ederson, while the likes of Zion Suzuki and Vanja Milinkovic-Savic have also been named as potential arrivals.

If a replacement is found, Hugo Viana – the new Director of Football, replacing Txiki Begiristain – must decide along with Pep Guardiola whether it would be worth keeping the Brazilian as a No.2 or if it would be better to cash in.
Ederson will only have 12 months left on his contract by the time June arrives, so keeping him around as a backup means Manchester City risk losing the glovesman for nothing when his deal ends in 2026.
