Bournemouth loanee Philip Billing isn’t earning too many fans in his loan spell at Napoli.
He failed to impress against AC Milan at the weekend, giving away a penalty. While that spot-kick wasn’t converted by Santiago Gimenez, the Italian press didn’t spare the Dane and his showing.
He was called ‘naive’ and ‘negative’ and there were also question marks about his physical abilities for Antonio Conte’s system.
It also seems the Italian coach is far from impressed and this could lead to Billing returning to Bournemouth in the summer.
Tuttomercatoweb have looked at Napoli’s potential targets under Conte and they state that the ex-Tottenham manager wants a ‘revolution and rejuvenation’ of the squad.
He wants as many as eight new signings this summer and he has already lost faith in the 28-year-old.
The likes of Giacomo Raspadori, Giovanni Simeone and Elia Caprile are also seen as ‘dried figs’ in the squad that Conte has essentially been left to tend to, even if he wants replacements quickly.
Napoli have the option to buy Billing permanently in the summer but as things stand that option may not be exercised.
