Tomas Soucek did not cover himself in glory in West Ham’s 1-0 defeat to Wolves on Tuesday night.
The Hammers succumbed to a first-half Jorgen Stand Larsen strike in another disappointing loss for Graham Potter and his men.
The Irons have won just three of their 11 matches under the former Chelsea manager, meaning the summer cannot come quickly enough for the 49-year-old to revamp the squad he inherited from Julen Lopetegui.

Soucek frustrates as West Ham suffer another defeat
Soucek is usually so reliable for West Ham but he missed a glorious chance against Wolves that could have changed the Hammers’ fortunes.
Clinton Morrison was left aghast by the miss and could not believe that the Czech star had not levelled the contest.

Speaking on Sky Sports (1 April, 21:32 pm), he said: “Bowen’s does ever so well, Fullkrug brilliant little back heel, Soucek is in on goal, he is six yards out, just hit the target, what does he do, he hits the side netting.
“It is a terrible finish, I don’t even like to be critical but that is terrible from Soucek.”

West Ham may allow Soucek to depart in the summer
It promises to be a summer of change at Rush Green as Potter seeks to mould the team in his identify after the shambles left behind by Lopetegui and Tim Steidten.
He deserves time to turn the team around despite an abysmal run of results after they wasted around £150million last summer on signings that have failed to prosper at the London Stadium.

West Ham’s midfield options
Supporters will have to prepare for a major overhaul and the former Brighton man could allow Soucek to leave as he freshens up the Hammers’ engine room ahead of the new season.
The 30-year-old has been a crucial part of the Irons team in recent years but he is not getting any younger and if there is significant interest in the summer, it makes sense to secure a decent fee and use it to reinvest in younger options, such as Sunderland midfielder Chris Rigg.
If the East London outfit are to progress under Potter, they may face some tough decisions in the transfer market, and losing Soucek may well be one of them.
It will be a bitter pill to swallow for fans but it may well be the best option in the long term for the future of the club.
