Carmelo Anthony Receives Historic News From NBA

Carmelo Anthony received historic news from the NBA on Wednesday.

According to Shams Charania of ESPN, Anthony has been notified that he's been elected into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2025.

Anthony is one of the best players in NBA history. He played for the Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Lakers.

A New York native, Anthony averaged 22.5 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists during his stellar career. He made 10 All-Star teams and six All-NBA teams.

Anthony won the 2013 scoring title with the Knicks. He averaged 28.7 points during the 2012-13 season.

The Nuggets drafted Anthony with the third overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft. Anthony was named to the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team in 2022. He's the 10th leading scorer (28,289) in NBA history.

Anthony's most memorable game was on January 24, 2014. He scored a career-high 62 points against the Charlotte Bobcats at Madison Square Garden as a member of the Knicks.

While Anthony never made it to the NBA Finals, he will go down as one of the greatest scorers of all time.
