"He Is Absolutely Focused" - Agent Of £54M Rated Liverpool Target Speaks Out On Whether He Could Replace Alexander-Arnold

Andrea Cambiaso’s representative has cooled speculation linking the Juventus fullback with a move to Liverpool.

The Italian international is two-footed so he could potentially replace Trent Alexander-Arnold or Andy Robertson but his agent Giovanni Bia told TMW that the player is very happy at his current club:

“He is absolutely focused on Juventus. It is normal that there are these sirens being one of the strongest full backs in Europe. There are a few movements around, for example, Alexander Arnold seems like he could go to Real Madrid but in general, there are various situations that could change.”

“At the moment, he is not interested in anything, his goal is Juventus and to do very well there. He is absolutely happy at Juventus; he has always said it in a thousand ways and in a thousand places.”

“His dream is to bring Juventus back to great levels, to play for Juventus and to have a great career at Juventus, helping the club to return to winning ways on a par with the European big clubs. But I have no doubt that within one or two years he will do it.”

Juventus may be forced to sell Cambiaso

Even though the 25-year-old is happy in Turin, his club are not exactly in the best shape financially. If they miss out on Champions League football, there will have to offload some of their prize assets; one of which is Cambiaso.

Reports in the Italian media suggest that a fee of around €65m (£54m) would be enough to snap up the defender. Liverpool would not be the player’s only suitor either. Manchester City explored a deal during the January transfer window while Arsenal have also been credited with an interest since then.

Liverpool have identified multiple fullback targets

Cambiaso is by no means the only option that the Reds are considering as they look to strengthen at the back. Talks with Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong have reportedly been held, with the Dutchman seemingly being eyed as Trent’s successor.

Milos Kerkez appears to be the top priority as Robertson’s replacement, with it even being suggested that discussions with Bournemouth have already taken place.
