Everton supporters could have even more faith in The Friedkin Group after what emerged from Southampton this week.

The Friedkins have been ruthless in their footballing empire over recent years, parting ways with Sean Dyche at Goodison Park without even a month in ownership of the Toffees.

This adds onto their list of sackings at Roma, which have included Jose Mourinho and iconic former star Daniele de Rossi.

Friedkins proven right after what former manager hire said

If there is one thing the Friedkins have shown they lack, it is shyness. They will not stop at anything to achieve what they set out to.

At Roma earlier this season, they appointed Ivan Juric back in a September appointment, barely lasting into November before his sacking after just 12 games.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

Juric is now at Southampton, who meet Everton in the final-ever Toffees game at Goodison Park on 18 May, and it is unlikely his conversation in passing with Dan Friedkin will be very long nor heartfelt.

As posted on X by Saints news page SaintsExtra (1 April), Juric said in the build-up to his side’s game against Crystal Palace: “The players have to do their best, we have a goal not to be the worst team in the history of the Premier League.”

Southampton fans will hear that statement with astonishment. First of all, it’s a given – their pathetic side are on nine points and at risk of becoming statistically the Premier League’s worst-ever team.

Everton fans, on the other hand, may just assess comments such as those and think that no wonder Friedkin wasted no time in binning Juric out of the Stadio Olimpico inside under two months.

Everton to reap benefits of supreme TFG and Moyes combination

Everton reunite with Liverpool for the hotly anticipated Merseyside derby on Wednesday night (2 April).

Moyes is currently on an excellent unbeaten run but this will be the toughest test yet, backed up by the fact they return on Saturday to Goodison to face second-placed Arsenal within under 72 hours.

Looking towards the future, however, Everton can now begin to lay the foundations for the inaugural Premier League season at the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium.

Everton are unbeaten in nine in the Premier League

The faith is that the Toffees can eventually build towards European football, as Moyes knows very well from his previous 11-year stint on Merseyside.

With the Friedkins bold in their approach, that ruthlessness mixed with the experience and comfort of Moyes as Everton manager could pave the way to an exciting few years ahead.
