Chelsea are named as a potential suitor to sign a top European striker in the upcoming summer transfer window.
It’s pretty obvious that the Chelsea squad is lacking a clinical centre-forward to lead the line.
While Nicolas Jackson is a decent attacking option for the Blues, he desperately needs a bit more help and experience. Incidentally, Jackson is available against Tottenham on Thursday night after his recent absence through injury.
It’s been reported that Chelsea can afford a major striker signing in the next transfer window at the end of the season.

Chelsea named as possible suitor for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are expected to sell Dusan Vlahovic at the end of the season.
Apparently, the Italian outfit will demand clubs pay around €40m-£45m (£34m-£38m) for the striker, who’s out of contract in Turin in 2026.
It is claimed that the Premier League could be a popular destination for Vlahovic. The report mentions Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle United and Manchester United as potential suitors for the 25-year-old Serbian frontman.
Vlahovic certainly ticks the box of being a strong goalscorer who operates effectively inside the penalty box.

Mauricio Pochettino wanted Dusan Vlahovic at Cheslea
Mauricio Pochettino, whose spell as the Chelsea head coach only spanned across the 2023/24 season, actually wanted to bring Juventus star Vlahovic to West London.
It was reported in August 2023 that Pochettino wanted Vlahovic at Chelsea as the club discussed signing him. Eventually, the player ended up staying put at Juventus.
On paper, he’s got the physical attributes to be a success in the Premier League division, so we could imagine him doing well at most English clubs.
For much less than £40m, Vlahovic could be a great investment for someone this summer.
