Parents, Mhairi and Lindsay Weir, take us through the highs and lows of Caroline’s rise to superstardom from the early days at Elgin Star in Fife before heading to Hibernian where she would catch the eye of Women’s Super League giants, Arsenal.

In her own words, the midfield maestro talks about her career to date, including the devastating ACL injury sustained on Scotland international duty and the recovery which culminated in a goal-scoring return to the national team a little over 12 months later.

Former team-mates Jill Scott and Steph Houghton look back fondly on their first encounters with the young Scottish player with a ‘wand of a left foot’ as she made the journey south of the border to secure her trajectory to Real Madrid with spells at Bristol City, Liverpool and Manchester City.

Caroline Weir’s humility and talent is laid bare for all to see in Galactica, which tells the story so far of Dunfermline’s most famous daughter, an icon of the women’s game and inspiration to young aspiring footballers around the world.
