The real reason Mohamed Salah was spotted filming at Liverpool Docks has been revealed.

Liverpool fans were sent into a frenzy on Wednesday after a suggestive picture of Salah made the rounds on social media.

Salah is among three Liverpool players who could leave this season. The Egyptian, along with club captain and vice captain Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, could leave for free unless they agree to a new contract soon.

Liverpool fans are hoping that the trio will sign contract extensions, despite the recent reports claiming that Alexander-Arnold has agreed to join Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, those who are closer to the situation claim that Salah is keen on remaining at the club. Recent reports, however, claimed that Saudi Pro League clubs are confident he will leave Liverpool this summer, ahead of a lucrative move to the SPL.

With the mounting speculations, Liverpool fans can be forgiven for hoping that a Salah picture that made the rounds on social media on Wednesday was an indication he was due to sign a contract extension at the club.

A picture of the 32-year-old in complete Liverpool kit, reportedly filming a video at Liverpool Docks, generated a lot of buzz on social media.

The video posted by X user @LFC92 generated a lot of buzz, with many fans concluding that Salah was recording his Liverpool contract extension video.

However, it has now been clarified that while Salah was indeed at the docks to film a video, the video was not that of a contract extension but a Liverpool commercial.

This revelation was made by another X user, @WillC. Responding to the post by LFC92, the user said; “Relax, it’s a LFC documentary…. I was asked at work if I wanted to be apart and be interviewed. It’s been going on since last week.”

The user, who is a long-time Liverpool fan, also posted a screenshot of a message from someone allegedly asking if he was interested in being part of the documentary.
