Liverpool picked up the three points against Everton in the Merseyside derby, winning 1-0 at Anfield on Wednesday.
Diogo Jota broke the deadlock in the second half after David Moyes‘ side put in a resolute performance defensively.
However, despite throwing the kitchen sink at it, the visitors failed to pick up any points against Arne Slot’s side.

Jake O’Brien – 4
Was wayward with his passing and did not look entirely comfortable at the back for Everton.
James Tarkowski – 6
Was fortunate not to get sent off for a challenge on Alexis Mac Allister, but apart from that, did not make any significant glaring errors.
Jarrad Branthwaite – 8
An authoritative presence in defence from the Englishman as he did not let the Liverpool attackers have clear-cut goal-scoring opportunities.

Vitalii Mykolenko – 6
Was solid defensively but struggled to offer too much in the final third, but still appeared to give it his all.

Was tidy with his passing and controlled the tempo well in the middle of the park.
James Garner – 4
Went missing during parts of the game and played a major role in allowing Liverpool’s goal.
Jack Harrison – 4
Constantly let the rest of his teammates down with the final ball as he struggled against Liverpool.
Abdoulaye Doucoure – 3
Struggled to control the ball and make anything happen in what was a pretty poor performance from the Mali international.
Carlos Alcaraz – 7
Was one of the better players for the Toffees and ensured that they did not miss Iliman Ndiaye too much.
