Marco Asensio’s Aston Villa Stat Should Spark Concern for PSG Ahead of Champions League Tie

Aston Villa are building positive momentum heading into the first leg of their quarterfinal tie against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League.

On Wednesday, Unai Emery and his team played one of two matches before traveling to the French capital next week. Aston Villa traveled to American Express Stadium to play Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Lions went on the road and secured an impressive 3-0 result to head into their weekend match against Nottingham Forest before they turn their attention to PSG.

Nonetheless, one player that PSG need to be worried about is their own player in Marco Asensio as he’s come alive under Emery.

Stats du Foot spotlighted on X that Asensio scored seven goals in 47 official matches for PSG. However, since joining Aston Villa, he has netted eight goals in 10 games.
