Anthony Edwards is one of the most confident players in the NBA and will tell anyone who asks that he believes he's the best player in the world.
While he's certainly up there, Nikola Jokic still remains alone at the top. On Tuesday, Edwards got to see it firsthand. Jokic became the third player ever to record a 60-point triple-double, although the Minnesota Timberwolves were able to beat the Denver Nuggets in double overtime.
It's been dubbed the game of the year and is unlikely to be topped.
After the game, the usually confident Edwards was a a loss for words. Well, not quite. He had just a few.
"Nikola Jokic, bruh, oh my God," Edwards said to *The Athletic's*Jon Krawczynski. "He might be the best basketball player I've ever seen close up. Besides myself to myself. Bro, he's incredible."
"Oh my God" sums up what fans say when watching Jokic. A brief anecdote: my father, a lifelong San Antonio Spurs fan, stopped watching the league nightly when Tim Duncan retired, and watched Jokic for the first time recently. He was also left speechless.

Edwards won't come out and say that Jokic is the best in the world, he genuinely believes that he owns that title, and on Tuesday he gave a great effort, scoring 34 points and coming up two rebounds short of his own triple-double.
In the last two seasons, Denver and Minnesota have met in the postseason, and fans around the world are hoping to see a postseason rematch between the two titans of the sport.
