Another difficult game to play. Man City away is no fun. The team was the exact same as the one starting vs. Man Utd. The line-up from start was a pesimistic one and looking far from something that could work.

It took Man City two minutes to score. Jack Grealish with a right footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom left corner. Being assisted by Savinho.

We had no hope of any result at all. So, seeing what we did was no surprise. What surprises is the lack of pace and individual power. It looks so little inspired. Players looks as if they are hoping for a rest. The setup from start also indicates a very defensive approach.

Omar Marmoush scores Man City’s second goal in the 29th minute. The game is in real over, and it was just one team out on their today, no hope of anything.

Ruud van Nistelrooy made one change for second half, bringing on Oliver Skipp for Jamie Vardy. Vardy picked up a yellow card. With this game more or less finished, there is no need to keep the captain on the field.

Man City, without Silva, Haaland, and De Bruyne, maintained their momentum. However, the second half turned into a prolonged affair. Leicester showed some promise by keeping a clean sheet and maintaining distance from Man City. They did not produce much more.

Jordan Ayew and Ricardo Pereira came on. So did Caleb Okoli and Facundo Bounanotte. The four showed a bit more power. Almost at the end, Ayew would possibly have scored if a pass from Bounanotte had found him in the correct manner. However, it was a sloppy pass from the Argentinian.

This game was one just to get over the line and look forward. At this point every game looks a difficult one. This selection of players playing without flanks makes no sence, it is a disaster. Stephy Mavididi was again left on the bench. McAteer was not in the squad. None of the youngsters were included. There was no pace at all. This looks like a dead project.

PositivesRicardo Pereira, Facundo Bounanotte and Jordan Ayew trying in the end

Keeping a clean sheet second half

NegativesThe line-up, it’s a joke, you cannot play without flanks, no power, nothing

The midfield must be sorted out, are not able to hold the ball at all, no muscles, nothing

Giving away goals early on, instead of packing the defence in the first minutes

No young fresh players who can at least run and take on opponents

Substitutions looks random and very strange, it’s a random roll of choices

Player Ratings: Hermansen 3, Coady 3, Kristiansen 2, Faes 3, Thomas 3, Justin 3, El Khannouss 3, Vardy 2, Soumare 3, Ndidi 2, Daka 1 Subs: Bounanotte, Okoli, Skipp 3, Ayew, Pereira
