A married teacher was arrested in front of her husband for allegedly raping a 15-year-old student she tutored and coached in soccer.
Police body cameras captured the moment that cops pulled over Christina Formella, 30, in a traffic stop and told her to ‘grab whatever you need’ from her car.
The special education teacher and soccer coach at Downers Grove South High School in Chicago was handcuffed as her confused husband and high school sweetheart remained in the passenger’s seat of her car.
Newly released footage from inside the police vehicle on March 16 shows Formella saying, ‘Excuse me, is my husband coming with?’

‘We’re staying in touch with him,’ cops could be heard responding.
Formella says: ‘No I know, but really I would prefer that my husband is with me.
‘Am I in trouble? Like I’m, I’m so lost right now.’

‘I think I’m going to throw up,’ she says, and when a cop asks if she would like a bag, she responds, ‘Yes, please.’
Formella is accused of sexually assaulting a teenage boy whom she was coaching and tutoring starting in December 2023.
The boy’s mother signed into her son’s iCloud account after buying him a new phone and saw alleged text messages between him and Formella, who was 28 years old at the time, according to court documents obtained by WGN.
Formella allegedly wrote: ‘I love you sooooo much baby… Even though this morning was short, it was perfect,’ and, ‘I love having sex with you.’

The student allegedly texted in response: ‘I know baby I love it so much… It feels so good… It’s so passionate. .. It’s so intimate … It’s so perfect.’
Formella also wrote about the student in her Notes app but initially told cops that they were an ‘outlet for her anxiety’ and that sexual references were about her husband.
She has been charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and a count of criminal sexual assault of a minor.
During her first court appearance, Formella was released on the condition of not having contact with anyone under age 18 and not going to the school.

The school has placed Formella on administrative leave and is cooperating with an investigation into the matter.
‘We are devastated, and our community is reeling,’ stated Downers Grove South Principal Arwen Lyp.
‘An adult has been charged with the most serious of violations, and trust has been broken. Our team is here to support students who are impacted by this terrible news.’
Formella was arrested just weeks after an Indiana teacher was charged for allegedly forcing teenage boys to wear Scream movie masks and having sex with them.
