Anthony Edwards' ex-girlfriend Ayesha Howard has poured cold water on rumors that the Minnesota Timberwolves poster boy paid the entirety of his child support in one transaction worth over $1million.

Whispers of a huge transaction between the pair began on March 31 when an X user claimed that Edwards, 23, requested to pay 'the whole 18 years of child support upfront.'

As the rumor spread like wildfire, another user claimed that Edwards 'confidently paid $1,080,000 in child support all at once' in an X post from April 2.

However, Howard has now denied the word on the street in an exclusive statement to The Shade Room on Wednesday.

'There are no court documents, motions, or proceedings that have occurred, nor have I been offered or agreed to such terms,' Howard reportedly told the outlet.

The site reported that Howard also posted an Instagram story denying the gossip.

Ayesha Howard addressed rumors that Anthony Edwards offered to pay child support upfront

Several X posts fanned the story that Edwards made an upfront $1m payment to Howard

'Where do these lies be coming from?' Howard reportedly wrote on her Story. She also posted a graphic that read, 'You ever heard a rumor about yourself and actually wanted to hear more Like no way…… what did I do next?'

While Howard has briefly addressed the rumors, Edwards has not yet commented on the situation.

On November 14, Howard shared the first photo of her baby, Aubri' Summers, on social media, writing: 'You are officially one month old. Today makes 30 beautiful sleepless nights and a life time to go.'

Edwards also shares a daughter named Aislynn with his current girlfriend, Shannon Jackson. They have been publicly dating since 2020 and welcomed Aislynn in March 2024. Jackson also shares her son, Krue, with rapper Chief Keef.

Before the child support rumors, Edwards was on the hot seat in December 2023 when Paige Jordae claimed the Olympic gold medalist impregnated her then pressured her to get an abortion. The news was reported by multiple outlets, including Fox Sports and the New York Post.

In response to Jordae apparently sending a picture of a positive pregnancy test and information about an incoming doctor's visit, Edwards allegedly wrote: 'Hell naw I can't do this,' and 'Get a abortion lol.'

Jordae shared a series of screenshots of her text conversations with Edwards on social media

Edwards allegedly added: 'Man you can't force a kid in da world.' Screenshots posted online claimed that the dynamic guard allegedly offered Jordae $100,000 to get an abortion and pressured her into sending him a video of herself taking pills for proof.

'You got the money now,' Edwards apparently wrote in a text asking her what 'the hold up' was in sending the video.

As the claims made rounds on social media, Edwards released a statement on X to address the allegations.

'I made comments in the heat of a moment that are not me, and that are not aligned with what I believe and who I want to be as a man,' Edwards began in his statement. 'All women should be supported and empowered to make their own decisions about their bodies and what is best for them,' he continued.

Edwards added he will be 'handling my personal matters privately' and 'will not be commenting on them any further at this time.'
