Nikola Jokic, Stephen Curry Combine to Make Unique NBA History

Tuesday night's NBA slate was a good one that featured a ton of intriguing matchups with the playoff right around the corner.

Of course, two of the best matchups from Tuesday were between the Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies as well as the Minnesota Timberwolves against the Denver Nuggets.

Both lived up to the hype as both teams saw their superstar players shine, although the teams had very different results.

For the Nuggets, they were part of a double overtime thriller against the Timberwolves that ultimately saw them lose in heartbreaking fashion after Russell Westbrook was called for a foul with 0.1 seconds remaining.

That allowed Nickeil Alexander-Walker to knock down the two game winning free throws as Minnesota prevailed 140-139.

Despite the loss, Nuggets star center Nikola Jokic had a game to remember as he scored a career-high 61 points to go along with 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

For the Warriors, they were able to take down the Grizzlies in a crucial game for seeding in the Western Conference standings behind an incredible performance from their star point guard Stephen Curry.

Curry led the way for Golden State as he recorded 52 points with 12 made three-pointers to go along with 10 rebounds, eight assists and five steals.

With both future Hall of Famers putting together incredible performances, they made sure that April 1, 2025, will go down in the record books as they combined to make NBA history.

Because of their performances, it became the first date in NBA history where multiple former MVP winners scored 50 or more points.
