Browns Land ‘Unstoppable’ Star in Latest NFL Mock Draft

The Cleveland Browns are three weeks away from the NFL Draft and sit in a crazy spot.

Cleveland holds the No. 2 pick, which means they will most likely not be able to land Miami’s Cam Ward, the class’s No. 1 quarterback.

If the Browns want to draft a quarterback, they will likely have to take Shedeur Sanders at No. 2.

If the Browns pass on a quarterback, the team will be left with two players: wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter and pass rusher Abdul Carter.

ESPN’s Field Yates published his mock draft and has the Browns taking Carter at No. 2.

“The Browns haven’t frequently been linked to the top quarterbacks, which indicates they are likely more focused on choosing between Carter and Colorado receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter. They did trade for Kenny Pickett and — spoiler! — can find another quarterback option later in the draft with Deshaun Watson out (re-torn Achilles),” Yates wrote. “While Hunter is my top prospect, Carter isn’t far behind. And putting him opposite Myles Garrett would form perhaps the scariest pass-rush duo in the NFL. Carter had 12 sacks last season and looked unstoppable despite playing through a shoulder injury down the stretch.”

If the Browns take Carter, they can pair him up with pass rusher Myles Garrett and make the best pass-rushing duo in the NFL.
