In one of the biggest Australian sports stories of 2025, two-time World Cup Wallaby Jordan Petaia has been picked up by the LA Chargers in the NFL.
The NFL side announced Petaia’s three-year deal on their website on Thursday AEDT.
The 25-year-old had left the Queensland Reds following the 2024 Super Rugby season to take a punt in the NFL’s International Player Pathway training program. His move came a year after Welsh rugby star Louis Rees-Zammit had joined the same program, where the Jacksonville Jaguars picked him up as a wide receiver.
More to come.
