Since returning from an injury that kept him out for over a month, Anthony Davis has the Dallas Mavericks right back in playoff position with a 4-1 record in the last five games.
On Wednesday, Davis helped the Mavericks take down Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks 120-118.
Davis had arguably his best game with the Mavericks since his debut on Feb. 8. The former Lakers forward tallied 34 points on 14-of-23 shooting, 15 rebounds, two assists and five blocks. He also scored the go-ahead floater with three seconds remaining.
According to Mavs PR, Davis becomes just the seventh player in NBA history to record 20+ career games with 30+ points, 10+ rebounds and 5+ blocks.
"Anthony Davis led the Mavs vs. Atlanta with 34 pts, 15 rebs and 5 blks, his 20th career game with 30+ pts, 10+ rebs and 5+ blks," Mavs PR wrote on X. "AD joined Hakeem Olajuwon, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Shaquille O'Neal, Patrick Ewing, David Robinson and Bob McAdoo as only players with 20+ 30-10-5 games."

Davis also inserted himself in Mavericks history in the win over Atlanta. According to StatMamba, Davis is now tied for the most games in franchise history with 30+ points, 15+ rebounds and 5+ blocks.
Davis also did something that not even Luka Doncic or Dirk Nowitzki could, becoming the first player in Dallas history to put up 34 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks.
With the win, Davis and the Mavericks sit at 38-39 on the season and would be going into the play-in tournament as the No. 9 seed. They will get a chance to gain some ground on the No. 8 seed, playing the Los Angeles Clippers (43-32) on Friday and Saturday.
