Everton supporters remember Richarlison fondly after he joined from Watford, starring at Goodison Park between 2018 and 2022.

The 48-cap Brazil international surpassed 150 games in a Toffees shirt, scoring 53 goals, and endeared himself to the Merseyside crowd to the point he took the acclaim in Tottenham Hotspur’s recent defeat at Goodison.

The Spurs man has had a difficult time in North London, and could now be seeking a move where he can play his best free-flowing football.

Everton could look to try and strike a deal to bring Richarlison back to Merseyside if he decides to leave Tottenham.

The consensus between the 27-year-old and Spurs is that both parties may be better off apart, offering an established Brazilian star to interested suitors – of which he will be far from short.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

According to Goal.com’s Brazilian correspondent Raisa Simplicio on X (1 April), colleagues of hers believe Everton could return with a bid for Richarlison, who would prefer to stay in Europe, including the Premier League.

Goal also published on Tuesday that the Toffees would be “interested” in working on a deal for their former fan favourite, for whom Spurs are willing to listen to offers.

Currently ruled out with a calf injury, Richarlison is under contract in North London until 2027.

David Moyes would surely love Richarlison at Bramley-Moore Dock

Moyes has done effectively enough at Everton in the striker department, based on the limited resources with which he is currently operating.

The returning boss has given Beto a new lease of life – a player who looked destined to depart Goodison to kickstart his career after an initially sorry spell.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is no closer on a new contract and will leave for free as it stands, with the former England man an ex-teammate of Richarlison during his entire stint at Everton.

Everton fans loved Richarlison

Youssef Chermiti is still developing, Armando Broja’s loan has been decimated by injury – and unbelievably still on the books, Neal Maupay is Neal Maupay.

Richarlison at prime age would be a proven Premier League signing who already carries a healthy rapport with the supporters, and an indicator of what could eventually be yet to come under The Friedkin Group and moving into the new stadium.

Exciting times at Everton could become tenfold if they get their hands back on their favourite Brazilian.
