Over the years, NBA superstar LeBron James has managed to wow fans whenever he throws a windmill dunk on the court. This inspired Cleveland Cavaliers big Jarrett Allen to do one as well in an effort to replicate the four-time champ's signature move.
During Wednesday's showdown between the Cavs and New York Knicks, Allen intercepted a pass meant for Karl-Anthony Towns and ran all the way to the rim. What followed was his attempt to do a windmill slam, the same one James has been doing for years.
Fortunately, Allen's attempt went in and gave the Cavaliers a significant 116-97 lead over the Knicks with 2:58 remaining in the fourth quarter. Ultimately, Cleveland got the win at home over New York with a score of 124-105.

After the game, Allen told reporters what his thought process was in performing the said play.
"You know, honestly, I wanted to look like Bron trying to bring it back," Allen said while smiling, via NBA. "I looked at the replay. Nothing close."
Along with the dunk, Allen was instrumental in helping Cleveland get the dub over the Knicks. The All-Star big man notched 21 points and eight rebounds in 32 minutes on the court.
Donovan Mitchell led the Cavs with 27 points, while Darius Garland added 17 points to overcome a Knicks team that was led by Towns' 25-point performance.
Allen's windmill attempt, while not perfect, is still an ode to James' signature move on the court. With the Cavs projected to go far in the playoffs, the big man will have more opportunities to perfect the King's dunk in the months to come.
