New York-based Tony's Chocolonely Inc. is recalling seven lots of Dark Almond Sea Salt Bar and Everything Bar due to potential presence of small stones, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The recall was issued after 12 customers reported finding small stones in the chocolate. The stones were not removed during almond harvesting and processing by a third party.
All complaints came from outside the U.S. and Canada, and no one has been injured to date due to the recalled products.
The impacted products include 6.35oz of Dark Almond Sea Salt Bar and Everything Bar. The Everything bar comes with lot codes 4327, 4330, 4331, and M4331, having best-before dates ranging from November 22 to November 26.
The Almond Sea Salt bar comes with lot codes 163094, 162634, and M162634, which have best-before dates of February 28 and April 2, 2026.
The impacted products were distributed and sold in the United States through retail stores from February 7 to March 24.
Other Tony's Chocolonely products are not affected by the recall.
Consumers who have purchased the recalled product are advised to dispose it, or return it to the store for a refund or replacement.
