Brighton in ‘advanced talks’ with FC Porto over summer transfer – Good opportunity for Seagulls man

Julio Enciso struggled to have a prominent role at Brighton & Hove Albion this season and that convinced the Premier League club to send him on loan to Ipswich Town in January.

The attacking midfielder played six games for Ipswich Town and registered two assists of which one of them was in their 2-1 win over AFC Bournemouth on Wednesday.

Enciso will finish the season at Ipswich Town and then return to Brighton, who could again send him out on loan in the summer window.

That’s according to O Dia, who state Flamengo are in the picture to sign the 21-year-old.

The Brazilian club’s interest isn’t new as they had talks with the Seagulls in the winter market. The player wasn’t keen on joining them and ended up at Ipswich Town.

FC Porto are also looking at the Paraguay international and O Dia state they are the club in ‘advanced talks’ with Fabian Hürzeler’s side for a new loan deal.

Journalist Gabriel Reis, popularly known as Paparazzo RN, backs up Flamengo’s interest in the Brighton player.

He claims Enciso pleases both Flamengo manager Filipe Luís and sporting director, José Boto. They already contacted the Premier League club, but he isn’t keen on returning to South America.

Reis claims Porto are now in ‘advanced talks’ with Brighton to take Enciso on loan. Both reports haven’t mentioned whether the Paraguayan is willing to join the Dragons in the next window.

Either way, Flamengo will find it difficult to sign Enciso because of his stance and Porto’s interest.
