Liverpool's march towards a record-equalling 20th league title continued with a hard fought Merseyside derby win over Everton.
The Toffees should have been down to 10 men after James Tarkowski somehow escaped a red card for a brutal foul on Alexis Mac Allister, but the failings of referee Sam Barrott and Paul Tierney on VAR couldn't prevent Diogo Jota going on to secure all three points.

And now, with the Premier League title just 13 points away, Reds manager Arne Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes are planning for a busy summer transfer window.
Several areas have been identified for potential upgrades - with the uncertainty around the futures of soon-to-be out of contract trio Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold rumbling on - so here's all the latest transfer news from Anfield.

Once again, Real Sociedad winger Takefusa Kubo, previously linked with a move to bolster Liverpool's attacking options, is back in the rumour mill. TeamTalk suggests that Kubo's departure this summer is likely, with interest from the Premier League mounting, reports Liverpool.com.
Should Sociedad fail to secure a European spot, player sales may be necessary. Martin Zubimendi, who was heavily pursued by Liverpool before Ryan Gravenberch claimed the number six role at Anfield, is tipped to join Arsenal.
Despite being only 23, Kubo's stats this season - five goals in La Liga and no assists - might not impress a team like Liverpool, which places high importance on player output.
Liverpool.com has weighed in on the talent of Kubo, acknowledging his flair but noting the need for more tangible contributions. They suggest that while his productivity might improve with age or within a stronger squad, Liverpool would be gambling if they decided to sign him.

The name of Crystal Palace and England centre-back Marc Guehi has been making rounds in the transfer gossip columns lately, with Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United having shown interest last summer. - when he was valued at around £70m.
He remained at Palace, but as the season draws to a close, he's approaching the final year of his contract. Palace manager Oliver Glasner has opened up about Guehi's contract situation.
"We haven't just started talking about his contract," Glasner revealed. "The talks were going on even before I arrived - for more than two years now.
"Marc is thinking what is best for his personal career and this is what we have to accept. I don't know [if he will sign a new deal]. I don't think about what happens in summer.
"On the May 26, I will turn my phone off for one or two weeks and then we will see what happens. Everybody knows he is a great footballer and a great character.
"Let's see what happens. Of course, no manager would want to lose their captain. It will be Marc's decision, but I know that he is so focused on improving his game and our game. It has no influence on his performances."
