NFL Rumors: Cleveland Browns Drafting Jaxson Dart

The Cleveland Browns might soon have a brand new quarterback in their squad, according to Chris Trapasso from CBS Sports. Trapasso drew up a mock draft, according to which he believes that the Browns are eyeing Jaxson Dart of the Ole Miss Rebels for the next NFL season.

21-year-old Jaxson Dart last played for the Ole Miss Rebels from 2022 until the last season, and before that was part of the USC Trojans football team. In his latest season with the Ole Miss Rebels, the quarterback managed an impressive 4,279 yards, scoring 29 touchdowns for the team along with six interceptions.

“The Browns get who they believe can be their quarterback of the future, and make sure they don’t miss him, moving from No. 33 to this spot to get him,” Chris Trapasso wrote in his latest article for CBS Sports.

The Cleveland Browns struggled quite a bit in the last NFL season, finishing fourth in the AFC North, winning only three games and losing 14. The Browns played their final game of the season against the Baltimore Ravens, losing the game with an embarrassing 35-10 final score.

Cleveland had plenty of quarterback struggles, especially with DeShaun Watson being injured. The Browns will hope to bring some fresh talent in, like Jaxson Dart, who will be good for them for quite a long time.

Cleveland Browns’ New Stadium Plans Draws Flak From Jason Kelce

The Cleveland Browns are proposing a brand new stadium in Brook Park, leaving the historic Huntington Bank Field which has been their home since 1999. The new stadium will be built in Brook Park and will be a domed structure.

While the new plans are bound to bring plenty of income to the team and the city, Browns fans are definitely not happy with the proposed indoor stadium. Former NFL player, Jason Kelce, criticized Cleveland’s plans in one of his podcast episodes with his brother, Travis Kelce.

Jason Kelce mainly criticized the location of the proposed stadium, remarking that players and fans are always used to going ‘downtown’ for games, and now instead, will have to go to Brook Park. Another point of contention that irked the Kelce brothers was the fact that the structure will actually be an indoor stadium.

The Huntington Bank Field’s construction started off in 1997, and went through a number of renovations since then. In fact, the name of the stadium was changed to FirstEnergy Stadium in between from 2013 to 2023, before going back to being called its original name.
