Loughborough Lightning Netball is delighted to announce health and life insurer, Vitality, as its official wellness partner for the 2025, 2026 and 2027 Netball Super League (NSL) seasons.
The three-year commitment forms part of Vitality’s ongoing support to women’s sport and enabling more women to live a healthy and active life. It follows the insurer’s investment in Loughborough University’s new multi-million-pound Women in Sport Research and Innovation Hub.
Following incredible back-to-back NSL title triumphs, Loughborough Lightning are aiming to secure an unprecedented hat-trick of championships in 2025. Colleagues from Vitality will work closely alongside the team to amplify the joined-up research and innovation initiatives, as well as having a brand presence on Lightning’s home and away dresses.
Liv Murphy, Acting Director of Sport at Loughborough University and a former captain of the England team, the Vitality Roses, said: “We are thrilled to align with Vitality as a long-term partner as Lightning embark on what we hope is another successful campaign.
“Vitality is no stranger to the University following its significant investment in the new Women in Sport Research and Innovation Hub . To further support one of our leading Lightning franchises is fantastic to see and I’m sure we can continue to create incredible things together.”
Nick Read, Managing Director of the Vitality Programme said: “Netball is a sport that we have been proud to be involved with for many years, helping to drive visibility of the sport and inspire many more girls and women to play the game, and live a more active life.
“We are therefore delighted to today be announcing our partnership with Loughborough Lightning Netball, further building on this, alongside our recent investment and support for the University’s Women in Sport Research and Innovation Hub.
“Together, and across both these partnerships, we will do more to further understand and tackle the barriers that stop women from being more active and champion more people to play at all levels of netball, sport and exercise more generally.”
Vitality is a long-standing partner of England Netball, having sponsored them since 2015. The national body is a long-time proud member of Loughborough Sport’s ecosystem and home training environment for the Vitality Roses. The partnership will look to build in this space to reach new audiences.
Lightning’s next fixture will be at the Motorpoint Arena against local rivals Nottingham Forest Netball on Saturday, April 5, at 3 p.m.
