Leeds United are keeping an eye on Chelsea shot-stopper Djordje Petrovic in their new goalkeeper search, according to TEAMtalk.
Leeds United are currently focused on the fight for promotion but there are eyes on the summer transfer window at LUFC too.
Their recruitment plans will look very different depending on whether their promotion push is a success or a failure. However, it feels increasingly likely that there will be a change in goal regardless.

Daniel Farke has stuck by Illan Meslier as his starting goalkeeper all season but his latest costly mishaps in the 2-2 draw with Swansea City have brought renewed criticism and growing calls for a change in between the sticks.
Leeds United have been linked with a number of goalkeepers over the campaign and now, it is claimed Chelsea loanee Djordje Petrovic is one of interest at Elland Road.
That is according to TEAMtalk, who state the Whites will indeed assess their goalkeeping future once the campaign ends. As a result, they are weighing up potential replacements and Petrovic’s impressive form on loan at RC Strasbourg has put him on their radar.
Petrovic is expected to be in a four-way battle to land the Chelsea starting berth for next season but if another option is preferred, the 25-year-old could be on the move and LUFC are on standby.
Impressing in France
Serbian international Petrovic certainly looks as though he would be a solid signing for Leeds United if the chance arose. He put in some respectable displays for Chelsea when given a shot at the starting berth and he’s only grown his senior experience over in France.

Managed by former Hull City boss Liam Rosenior, Petrovic has played 24 times for Strasbourg, keeping eight clean sheets in the process.

At 25, Petrovic has the senior pedigree and experience to be a reliable option in goal for LUFC while still having the time to develop further into a valuable asset. That could make him a smart although costly signing.
Meslier vs Darlow
It has been a tough season individually for Meslier and criticism from Leeds United fans certainly seems to have reached a peak. At such an important point in the season, calls for him to be dropped have grown.

The next in command is Karl Darlow. He has found chances hard to come by at Elland Road since signing from Newcastle United but the ‘keeper has solid experience in both Premier League and Championship football, starring on loan at Hull City before his Whites switch.
Many feel keeping Meslier in goal could prove costly but with Darlow out of match practice, it is not guaranteed that he proves to be a notable improvement.
