Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah has reacted to the Everton win.

Mohamed Salah has fired a wordless message after helping Liverpool claim a win over Everton in the Merseyside derby. The Reds claimed a 1-0 win against Everton in their first Premier League fixture after the international break.

Salah was not on the score-sheet, with Diogo Jota scoring the winning goal in front of the Kop in the second half. The win moved Liverpool back 12 points clear at the top of the Premier League table with Arsenal in second place.

Post-match posts from Salah on social media have become a regular tradition this campaign and the Egyptian did so, once again, soon after the final whistle at Anfield.

On Instagram, Salah posted a picture of himself alongside goal-scorer Jota in the Liverpool dressing room. The post did not include a caption, as has also been a regular theme with Salah's post-match posts on social media this term.

The post from Salah comes amid ongoing speculation around his long-term future at Liverpool. The 32-year-old is out of contract this summer - and key figures behind-the-scenes at the Reds have been locked in discussions with his representatives over an extension throughout the season.

Reports emerged on Wednesday from Foot Mercato indicating that Salah was close to agreeing a new two-year contract extension with Liverpool. It remains to be seen what the future will hold for Salah and the Reds, with his current deal set to run out in a couple of months time.

Liverpool and Salah will now look ahead to their next Premier League match-up, which sees them travel to meet Fulham on Sunday. The Gunners will also go on the road this weekend as they take on Everton on Saturday, once again 24 hours before the Reds take to the pitch in their title charge.
