Ryan Giggs has insisted that a remarkable Manchester United legend that he played alongside under Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford was “always in the right position.”
The 51-year-old Manchester United legend is widely regarded as one of the best Premier League players of all time and is widely admired for his incredible longevity.
Ryan Giggs spent his entire playing career at United and the former Wales manager was a linchpin figure during the Sir Alex Ferguson era at Old Trafford.
One of the famed ‘Class of ‘92’ members, Giggs rose through the United youth academy in the 1990s before establishing himself as a key first-team player.
Giggs became United’s all-time appearance-maker and the former Red Devils star spent the large majority of his Old Trafford spell under former manager Ferguson.
The ex-Wales international was part of the last United team to lift the Premier League title under Ferguson before the Scotsman retired from management in 2013.
During his legendary spell at Old Trafford, Giggs lifted 13 Premier League titles, two Champions League trophies, four FA Cups and four League Cups with United.
The former Wales winger called it time on his prolific playing career in 2014 after he temporarily served as interim United manager following David Moyes’ sacking.

Man Utd icon Ryan Giggs singled out underrated aspect of Roy Keane’s playing style as a midfielder
Ryan Giggs shared the pitch with Roy Keane at Old Trafford and his fellow Manchester United legend had a remarkable playing career at the top level.
Roy Keane is widely admired for his leadership skills and the 53-year-old Irishman excelled as Red Devils captain under former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
The United legend is regarded as one of the best captains of all time and Keane also made a name for himself thanks to his no-nonsense attitude on the pitch and off it.
However, Keane also excelled as a commanding box-to-box midfielder in his prime and the former United skipper was a linchpin midfield influence for Ferguson.
Giggs highlighted Keane’s underrated quality as a midfielder by the fact that he would “very rarely” lose the ball and praised his ability to “control” matches.
“I think we all talk about what a captain and leader he was but he was a brilliant player,” Giggs told Sky Sports, as per the Metro in 2020.
“He very rarely gave the ball away. He changed his game from being an attacking midfielder to being that one that sat a bit more but he could control a game, control the tempo of the game as well.”

Ryan Giggs expertly broke down what made Man Utd legend Roy Keane a complete midfielder at Old Trafford
Roy Keane’s incredible impact as a midfielder was evident in his famous performance against Juventus in the 1998-99 Champions League campaign.
The former Nottingham Forest and Red Devils ace famously captained Ferguson’s iconic United team to their continental treble win in 1999.
Giggs added that Keane was a “brilliant player” alongside being a “top leader” and the legendary former United captain had the “athleticism” needed for a midfielder.
“He was always in a covering position, he would be all over the pitch,” he continued.
“As you know and as everyone knows that when someone needed telling he would tell them but that would motivate you as a player.
“As you see here, he was always in the right position, He had the athleticism but he didn’t always need it because his positioning was so good.
“He was a brilliant player as well as a top leader and a great captain.”
Keane lifted seven Premier League titles, a Champions League trophy and four FA Cups with United before he left Old Trafford in 2005 and signed for Celtic.
