Everton’s nine-game unbeaten run came to an end in the Premier League with a defeat away to Liverpool.

Everton fell to a 1-0 defeat away to Liverpool on Wednesday evening, with Diogo Jota’s second-half strike proving to be the difference in the game.

With little left to play for, Everton will not be overly bothered by the defeat, but the lack of attacking threat provided in the game could be cause for concern.

With eight games left to be played, the Toffees just need to bounce back and end the season on as much of a high as they possibly can.

Everton have all but sealed Premier League safety.

Moyes’ side are predicted to finish 16th in the Premier League, with a 0.01 per cent chance of relegation, which comes as little surprise given the 14-point cushion they have now.

Everton are forecasted to pick up another nine points this season, taking them to a final tally of 43 points, which would see them 17 points above the drop zone, which is anticipated to remain as it is currently.

Everton need to build momentum from now

Everton are enjoying their time under the stewardship of Moyes, and momentum will be crucial to take into the new campaign.

Players will be playing for their future, while the Scotmsna will be painting a clear picture in his mind as to who he wants around the squad next season.

With next to no pressure for the final eight games, Everton can enjoy their final run at Goodison Park ahead of their move to Bramley-Moore.
