Chelsea scouts could be set for Sunday transfer mission – Worry growing over transfer

Last week, Chelsea emerged as a target for Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic.

While Manchester City have also been mentioned as a suitor for the Serbian, the report last week suggested that Enzo Maresca is keeping a close eye on Milinkovic-Savic, who has a release clause of €20m in the summer.

Chelsea will not have problems triggering that and more has now emerged about the 28-year-old’s future.

La Stampa, as relayed by ToroNews, have reported that while Torino manager Paolo Vanoli is holding Milinkovic-Savic close and is trying his best to keep the player, interest from England could be complicating the situation.

Chelsea and Manchester City could send scouts to watch the goalkeeper on Sunday, when the Granata take on Hellas Verona in Serie A.

The report states that the Serbia international could see a move to the Premier League as ‘revenge’ as his time in Manchester United’s youth sides was cut short due to work permit issues.

In the meantime, Il Toro are planning to keep Milinkovic-Savic . His current contract runs out in the summer of 2026 but there is an option for extension till the summer of 2027. This is unlikely to remove his affordable release clause.
