And Silvestre fears this means no-one will be immune from being sold, including captain Bruno Fernandes, who has been linked with a summer move to Real Madrid.
Former United star Silvestre told 10bet: "You know the financial situation the club is in.
"Honestly, I think everybody is available for sale, because they need to cash in on a few players.
"Despite having that status of being the best performer this season and the captain, I think if the right offer would come, United would open the door (for Fernandes), you know?
"They're not able to definitively say a particular player is out of bounds.
"So even Bruno could be, could be shown the door and allowed to make his choice, if the right offer came in."

Amorim's squad can only realistically achieve that by lifting the trophy at the final in Bilbao in May.
And everyone at the club will know getting back at Europe's top table is crucial to boosting club coffers.
