The goalkeeper position has left many Chelsea fans frustrated this season, with points continuing to be dropped as a direct result of individual errors.
Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen have both been given opportunities to establish themselves as the Premier League number one, although neither have impressed greatly.
Enzo Maresca has protected Sanchez in the media, however is likely running out of excuses for the Spaniard, who is expected to be in between the sticks for the upcoming huge game against Tottenham.
Perhaps the most frustrating thing as far as Blues supporters are concerned is the fact that the highest performing goalkeeper on their books is not available to them this season, with Djordje Petrovic on loan at Strasbourg starring.
Chelsea fans want Petrovic to start next season, however a full review of their options is expected by the club at the end of the season.

Top Chelsea goalkeeper will be sold this summer
As well as Jorgensen, Sanchez and Petrovic, youngster Mike Penders is a player the club have faith in, with Penders backing himself to be good enough to compete for the gloves as soon as next season.
Matt Law has claimed that the futures of Penders and Jorgensen are safe, which means one of Petrovic or Sanchez will be sold this summer, with the other set to be in the conversation for the starting place next season.
He told ‘London is Blue’: “They’re going to have a full goalkeeping review around those four goalkeepers, and what they want to get to is they want to get to who are going to be the number one and number two or number ones. They want to decide which one to go out on loan and one will leave permanently.

“Penders clearly isn’t getting sold, no chance. Jorgensen is not getting sold after one year, no chance. So, out of Petrovic and Sanchez, one of those is going to end up one of the first two goalkeepers, and one is getting sold.”
Enzo Maresca’s thoughts on Chelsea goalkeeper situation
Despite backing his players in interviews and press conferences, it won’t have gone unnoticed to Maresca that his goalkeepers have cost his side points this season.
Maresca reportedly wants a new option for next season, with there being an importance in their ability to play with the ball at their feet.
Petrovic’s passing has improved this season, with that element of his game a noted weakpoint from his first season at Stamford Bridge.
It remains to be seen though if this has been enough to convince the Italian to go back on the club’s initial assessment that the Serbian was not good enough to play this season.
