Arsenal U21s secured an impressive 3-0 win away to their Norwich City counterparts this week, with Michal Rosiak scoring a superb free-kick before Jimi Gower and Will Sweet also found the net.
It was an especially significant week for Gower, who received his first Premier League callup on Tuesday night as he was named on the bench for the first-team against Fulham.
The win over Norwich was notable in that it guaranteed that Arsenal U21s will again take part in the Premier League 2 play-offs at the end of the season.
Last year, the first time in which the play-offs took place, Arsenal overcame Manchester United in their first fixture before suffering a hugely frustrating late defeat against Chelsea in the quarter-finals.
Arsenal are currently in sixth place in the table, with the top 16 teams qualifying for the play-offs.
The team that finishes first will play the team in 16th, with the side in second playing the team in 15th and so on.
Before they can fully focus on the play-offs Arsenal have two matches remaining of the regular season as they will face Derby County at home and West Bromwich Albion away.
Coach Mehmet Ali will be looking for his team to continue their impressive recent form, which has included them going unbeaten across their last five matches, winning four of them.
