Arne Slot has confirmed that Alisson will return to the Liverpool starting XI, at the expense of his stand-in Caoimhín Kelleher, once he gets the all-clear from the club’s medical staff following a concussion issue.
Kelleher started in goal for the Reds in Wednesday’s 1-0 win at home to Everton, the Cork native getting his chance as Alisson was forced to sit that out due to concussion protocols having sustained a head injury while on international duty for Brazil.
Liverpool face Fulham on Sunday as they edge closer to the Premier League title but Slot stated that Alisson remained his No. 1 and would play if available.
"With Ali it’s simple, concussion,” Slot said at his press conference today.

"You have to tick all the boxes and the moment he does, he will be in goal, the moment he doesn’t, we are following the protocol.”
Meanwhile, West Ham boss Graham Potter suggested that Evan Ferguson had paid the price for a miss on the occasion of his first start for the club.
After five sub appearances, Ferguson started for the Hammers in their midweek defeat away to Wolves but was replaced at half-time, having spurned an opportunity to open the scoring and Potter said that his substitutions were logical.
“We weren’t happy with the overall performance in the first half. We had a good chance to score which we didn’t take,” Potter said, referring to Ferguson’s miss.
“In the first half, we were pushed back too much so we had to adjust at half-time, which we did and we were a lot better in the second half.”
Ferguson will aim to get more game in the upcoming fixtures against Bournemouth, Liverpool and Southampton as he will be ineligible, under the terms of his loan, against Brighton the following week.
