Everton have been plagued by injuries since David Moyes took the reigns from Sean Dyche in January.
Star player Iliman Ndiaye has only just returned from a long injury lay-off, whilst Dwight McNeil is still yet to feature under David Moyes, having undergone knee surgery.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin remains sidelined with a hamstring injury, which he sustained in one of Moyes’ first games back at the club.
Orel Mangala is out for the season and captain Seamus Coleman has been in and out of the squad with a niggle.
So it’s pretty clear Moyes has had a rough time with injuries and now there’s another fresh blow that emerged ahead of the Merseyside derby.

Jesper Lindstrom picks up groin injury
The injuries just continue to mount for Everton, as now Jesper Lindstrom is the latest star to pick up a setback.
Speaking ahead of the 1-0 defeat against Liverpool, Moyes confirmed that Lindstrom has suffered a groin problem.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
There’s been no further news on the Napoli loanee regarding when he could return, but given it’s been labelled as a ‘strain’, it seems as though he could be back for Arsenal on Saturday.
Lindstrom will certainly be needed, too, as out-of-form Jack Harrison produced another poor performance last night.
One eye on next season
Clearly, with Everton still 14 points clear of the bottom three, there’s very little to play for in the remaining eight games of the season.
So, there will already be one eye on next year, as the Friedkin Group plan a complete restructure of the recruitment department.
Everton are eyeing Leeds chief Nicky Hammond, who could replace Kevin Thelwell once his contract expires in the summer.
Hammond’s talent-spotting in the second tier has impressed soon-to-be CEO Angus Kinnear, but Moyes has his own ideas.
Moyes wants to hire two of his former West Ham colleagues instead, as they were aligned in his recruitment ideas.
So, those discussions will likely be the main focus between now and May, with Everton already safe from relegation.
