Don't count out the Dallas Mavericks just yet.
The Mavs have been through quite a lot this season, including losing star point guard Kyrie Irving to a season-ending injury. They're not waving the white flag yet, though, and Anthony Davis remains at the forefront for Dallas and their playoff hopes.
On Wednesday, Davis had one of his best games as a Maverick, dropping a 34-point, 15-rebound double-double with two assists, a steal, five blocks and two triples in 30 minutes of action.
Davis also came up big for the Mavs in the clutch on both ends of the floor. He blocked a game-tying attempt by Trae Young on one end, before scoring the game-winning deuce at the other.

It is important to note that this was just the fifth game back for Davis after being sidelined by an adductor injury for six weeks. At this point, it doesn't look like this is an issue for the 10-time All-Star anymore.
Davis spoke to the media after the game, and he provided an important update on his health moving forward. According to the five-time All-NBA big man, the Mavs have decided to increase his minutes limit to 32, which could potentially increase further in the coming games.
This comes via Mavs beat reporter Joey Mistretta of ClutchPoints.
"Anthony Davis said his minutes restriction was recently increased to 32. It could increase more for a potential play-in game," Mistretta reported on X.
Davis played just below 30 minutes on Wednesday, and it will be interesting to see how much playing time he gets in the Mavs' next games. They are scheduled for a back-to-back set on Friday and Saturday against the Los Angeles Clippers at Intuit Dome, and it remains unclear at this point if Davis can play in two straight nights.
After Wednesday's victory, the Mavs have improved to 38-39 on the season. They are currently ninth in the West with five games remaining in the regular season.
