Salah ‘very close’ to Liverpool extension

According to a new report in English football media, Mohamed Salah could well end up staying at Liverpool beyond the 2024/25 campaign.
With Salah’s current deal at Liverpool expiring on the 30th of June 2025, there has been little indication from both the player and the club regarding the next step in negotiations.
Set to be a free agent at the end of the season, Salah has thus been linked with numerous clubs in the last couple of months, including that of Al-Ittihad, Al-Hilal and Paris Saint Germain.
Now though, according to FootMercato, as per TeamTalk, Salah will sign a new two-year extension with the Merseyside giants.
“Salah is very close to signing a two-year contract, which would keep him with the Reds for 10 years,” the report mentioned.
“No details on salary have been released, but the Egyptian is on the verge of getting what he has wanted for several months.”
