Liverpool's chances of winning the Premier League title have been given a massive boost after their win over Everton.

A 1-0 victory over the Blues moved the Reds 12 points clear of Arsenal at the top of the league table.

Arne Slot's side secured the victory thanks to a second-half goal from Diogo Jota at Anfield.

The opening goal was a controversial one due to a potential offside for Luis Diaz in the build-up, bu the goal stood and Liverpool secured victory.

Liverpool have just eight matches left to play this season to clinch the league title and are the overwhelming favourites to be crowned top-flight champions.

Arsenal beat Fulham in their Premier League match this week, but the gap remains at 12 points after Liverpool's win over Everton.

The victory over the Blues means that the Reds need just a maximum of 13 points from their final eight matches to win the league title.

Opta Analyst has crunched the numbers to predict how the final Premier League table will look.

The latest prediction still believes that Liverpool will win the league title, finishing the season with 90 (89.63) points.

This is significantly better than Arsenal, who are tipped to finish second on 78 (77.56) points after 38 matches.

This would mean that Liverpool would maintain their 12-point gap for the remainder of the campaign.

Liverpool have been given a 99.06% chance of winning the Premier League title, compared to just 0.94% for Arsenal.

While the league title is the priority for the Reds, Slot and Co. have been given a 100% likelihood of securing Champions League football for next season.

Slot will be busy preparing the Liverpool team to face Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday in their next Premier League fixture.

Arsenal will travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton this weekend in another potentially defining few days of top-flight action.
