Jacob Murphy continues incredible Newcastle United season
While Newcastle United continue to look for a new winger, Murphy continues to prove why any new arrival will struggle to take his place in the starting XI.
The 30-year-old is actually one of the most influential players in the entire Premier League, boasting nine assists so far this season – with his latest coming against Brentford.
Only four players have created more Premier League goals than Murphy this season. They are Mo Salah, Mikkel Damsgaard, Bukayo Saka and Antonee Robinson.
Other than his assist, Murphy was quiet against Brentford. But he delivered when it mattered, and Isak was eager to ensure that his teammate received his flowers for another excellent assist.
That is two games in a row that Murphy has set up Isak, with the winger providing the knockdown for what proved to be the decisive goal in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
Isak and Murphy have combined to score nine goals so far this season, and will hope to reach double figures in the remaining nine games.
