The Kansas City Chiefs have been the gold standard in winning over the past couple of seasons, and now, they want to be a main fixture in the holiday calendar, according to The Athletic.
With the Chiefs playing the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day last season, the franchise reportedly wants to make it an annual thing.
The Chiefs are surely looking to follow in the footsteps of other teams who have their "own" game on the holidays, with the Dallas Cowboys synonymous with Thanksgiving Day games.
Having played on Christmas Day in the last two seasons, it is now becoming clear that the franchise wants to make it their "own" game and something they can promote.
With the Chiefs looking to be a constant in the holiday fixture, it will be a big draw for the franchise both on and off the field, and they have had success playing on Christmas Day in the past.
Oh, and having Taylor Swift in millions of homes for Christmas? Surely the NFL is aware of how Travis Kelce's girlfriend might play into all of this.
Of course, they won't be the only teams wanting to get a slice of the holiday pie, given that it is very lucrative, but it is clear the franchise wants to get in first and put their name down to be a constant on Christmas Day.

Whether or not the NFL gives the Chiefs what they want is unknown, and it might be a case of the entire league rotating so that every franchise gets a gift under the tree, but Kansas City has planted its flag in the ground.
They want to be a constant on Christmas Day, and now we wait to see if the NFL gives them the go-ahead.
