Mike was Country Manager Ireland for Amazon Web Services (AWS) from 2017 to 2023 and HR Director for AWS Europe, Middle East & Africa responsible for 25,000 staff across 33 countries. As Ireland country manager, he guided investment decision making for the company in Ireland, overseeing over €10B in inward investment into Ireland and growing staff three-fold to 6,500+. Mike regularly represented AWS with external stakeholders including government leaders, policy makers and media and played a leadership role in AWS community engagement, including supporting initiatives around sustainability, local workforce development, and girls in tech.
