Arsenal’s match with Crystal Palace has been brought forward to Wednesday, 23rd April as a result of the Eagles’ participation in the FA Cup semi-finals.
The Gunners were due to take on Oliver Glasner’s side at the Emirates on Saturday, 26th April in the 5.30pm broadcast slot, but the south Londoners will instead face Aston Villa at Wembley in their quest for a first major trophy.
Obviously, it’s far from ideal giving match-going supporters less than three weeks’ notice of the change, but, unfortunately, there’s not much we can do about other sides doing well in cup competitions.
The Premier League have also confirmed that Arsenal’s trip to Anfield will now happen on Sunday, 11th May at 4.30pm. At one point, it looked like the match could be a potential title decider. Instead, we’ll probably see Mikel Arteta’s men line up a guard of honour before playing out a near-dead rubber.
